We recognize that a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, which is why we believe in caring for the patient as a whole — including their physical, emotional and financial wellbeing.
Our Resource and Appearance Center, housed on the second floor of the CARTI Cancer Center in Little Rock, is available to help patients and their families deal with a diagnosis. Visits are by appointment only, and may be scheduled by calling 501.906.4436.
APPEARANCE CENTER
Staffed by trained professionals and volunteers, CARTI’s Salon and Appearance Center also offers:
- Look Good Feel Better – A national initiative dedicated to helping individuals manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. Through free workshops led by trained beauty professionals, patients learn practical tips for skin care, makeup, wigs, and head coverings. Designed to boost confidence and promote emotional well-being, this program is one more way CARTI supports the whole patient—body, mind, and spirit—through every step of their cancer journey. Register for an upcoming session on the LGFB website.
- Free Wigs, Hats, Scarves and Apparel – For those who are losing their hair due to treatment, CARTI offers free wigs provided by the American Cancer Society. With synthetic hair and real hair wigs available, patients can pick the wig that’s right for them.
- Information and Referral Services – CARTI can provide information about breast prosthesis and mastectomy bras.
